GESSAMÍ's bags are made in Italy from genuine leather. A fine feature of leather is that it is a tremendously durable material: if you take good care of your leather bag, it can last for years. Thus, a leather bag is well worth its investment. To ensure the longevity of Gessamí bags, we recommend that you take certain precautions during use to avoid common mistakes.
Exterior
Leather is a sensitive and organic material that changes over time, softens and takes on a sheen. This all depends on use, friction and where you place your hand on the leather. This gives your item its own unique character over time.
Be very careful of water, direct sunlight, intense heat or excessive humidity or dryness. These factors can change the color and appearance of your item. If your item does come in contact with water, wipe the item with a soft cloth to prevent the formation of stains or air bubbles during drying.
Prevention is better than cure so we recommend spraying the bag with a moisture and dirt repellent spray after purchase. In this regard, it is wise not only to spray the bag when you have just bought it, but to repeat this about two to three times a year thereafter.
To keep your leather bag supple as well, you can rub your bag with some leather grease or leather wax about two to three times a year. This also helps keep the color nice.

Storage
When not using your item from Gessamí, we recommend storing your item in a warm, dry place away from light, preferably in the box or in the dustbag provided.
